Brief Introduction of the Work: A pile stands alone in the center of the river. Every day it is envious of stars, wild geese and poplars, and thinks itself lonely and useless. One day, a shepherd boy appears beside the river. He throws pieces of stone toward the pile. Although it's painful, the pile still feels happy for someone pays attention to it. After the autumn, there is a big storm which floods the village. The boy is rushed into the river by heavy water, and the pile is also pulled up. Just then, the boy catches the pile among the rushing and finally scrambles ashore with the help of the pile. When he looks back, the pile, like a fish, has swum east.
